ABOUT
‘SU/ON’ is a quadriptych painted with my three year old son Rex, during first lockdown.

With all indoor and outdoor play areas closed in NI, it was a difficult time to entertain young children. As blessed as I felt to be able to spend quality time with my son, it was difficult to live life at his pace all day everyday.

The piece represents a tribal sun, a mandala - the llight at the end of the tunnel.
It is a collaborative effort. An effort to keep ourselves entertained, to have fun, to get messy, and to ultimately try to create something beautiful.
Rex painted the background with bath toys, squirty toys, and his hands. I then illustrated on top.
